Why a Core Deposit Is Required

This product is sold with a refundable core deposit. The deposit is required to ensure the return of a rebuildable core, which allows us to recycle materials and reuse non-wear components during the remanufacturing process. This helps keep overall product costs competitive.

How the Core Deposit Is Charged

The core deposit is added to your order total at the time of purchase. Once your returned core is received and inspected at our facility, the deposit is refunded according to the payment method used for the original purchase.

Core Return Timeframe

To receive a full core deposit refund, the core must be received within 30 days of delivery. Cores returned after this period may be subject to reduced refunds or additional fees. Any return extensions must be approved by a sales manager in advance.

Core Refund Processing Time

Core deposit refunds are typically processed within 1–3 weeks after the core is received and inspected. Credit card refunds are issued to the original card. Check payments are refunded by mail. If you have not received your refund within three weeks, please contact us to confirm receipt.

How to Return Your Core

In most cases, your order will include a shipping document known as a Bill of Lading. You or your repair facility may return the core with the delivery driver, if applicable, or schedule a pickup directly with the shipping carrier using the phone number listed on the Bill of Lading. It is important to use the provided shipping documentation to avoid being billed directly by the carrier. If your order did not include return shipping information, please use the core return link below and follow the instructions provided.

Missing or Non-Returnable Cores

If a core is not available for return, the core deposit is retained and becomes part of the final purchase price. In these cases, only one-way shipping is required. If inventory for a specific core becomes limited, additional core charges may apply. In rare situations, products may not be available for sale without a core exchange.

Sending a Core Before Shipment

For manual transmissions, engines, and transfer cases, customers may send their core in advance. This option may extend overall turnaround time but eliminates the need to pay a core deposit. Only the product price and shipping charges will apply.

Acceptable Core Condition

To qualify for a full core deposit refund, returned cores must not have excessive damage, such as melted or cracked cases. If you are unsure whether your core meets return requirements, please contact our team before shipping.

Platinum Parts and Labor 3-Year Warranty

Coverage Details:

• This is a nationwide warranty valid throughout the continental United States.
• No restocking or return shipping fees are charged on approved warranty claims. Restocking and shipping fees may apply only when a customer requests a return for a non-defective engine or when the return originates outside the continental United States.
• The warranty period begins on the original date of purchase and remains valid for three (3) years or one hundred thousand (100,000) miles, whichever occurs first.

Parts and Labor Coverage:

• Labor reimbursement is provided at a rate of $110.00 per hour.
• Vehicle rental reimbursement is provided for up to ten (10) days at a maximum rate of $35.00 per day.
• Towing reimbursement is provided up to a maximum of $100.00.
• Reimbursement or replacement for fluids and gaskets is included, when applicable.
• Diagnostic testing related to covered warranty concerns is included.

This Warranty Does Not Cover:

• Use of the transmission, clutch, transfer case, driveline, and/or differential for purposes other than those for which the vehicle was originally designed, including off-road or racing applications.
• Damage resulting from abuse, neglect, accident, or improper towing.
• Improper installation or maintenance, including failure to fill the unit with the correct fluid or maintain proper fluid levels.
• Installation into a vehicle application that was not originally equipped with the engine (conversions).
• Loss of time, inconvenience, loss of vehicle use, commercial loss, or consequential damages.
• Failures caused by defects or inefficiencies in components or assemblies not supplied with the engine.
• Damage, defects, injury, or loss resulting from misuse or negligence.
• Installations performed by non-certified individuals may remain eligible for parts coverage; however, labor reimbursement requires installation by an ASE-certified mechanic or repair facility.
• Receipts are required for all reimbursement requests.

Transferring Warranty

This warranty is transferable within the United States.
