For nearly two decades starting in the 90s, the General Motors built 4T80E has been the premier transmission that was used in Buick, Cadillac, Oldsmobile and Pontiac cars typically featuring larger engines like the V8. Throughout the years this 4 Speed automatic became known for some of its inherent flaws that contributed to it's breaking down. The 4T80E modulator has a propensity to crack causing fluids to get sucked up into the vacuum line. The pan gasket, torque converter and seals have all been known to leak as a transmission begins to age. There are several electrical problems related to the transmission one of the most serious being it's solenoids.

Our XP1 series is not a rebuilt 4T80E, it is a completely remanufactured OEM replacement transmission. After years of research we have implemented a series of upgraded components to turn what was once a a flawed transmission to one of the most reliable on the market.
