Finally the 42LE transmission sale is here. The 42LE is also commonly known as an A606 transmission which was built by Chrysler in the early 90s for use in medium-sized cars and sedans. This 4-speed automatic is a member of the Ultradrive family of transmissions. 42LE problems are pretty common as with other transmissions in the series. Two of the most common problems with the A606 is its propensity to overheat and go into limp mode which causes the transmission to be stuck in second gear.
