Description
Our precision remanufactured 364 block
Every remanufactured 364 long block undergoes a rigorous magnaflux inspection to detect microscopic cracks or flaws that could compromise performance or durability. This non-destructive testing method ensures structural integrity before any machining begins. Next, the engine block is thermally cleaned to remove all residual contaminants. It is then subjected to steel shot microblasting, restoring the block’s surface to a clean, like-new finish. Once cleaned, we move to our precision boring and honing process. Using a carbon two-stage power hone, we maximize sealing efficiency by achieving optimal surface finish and precise RMA (Roughness Average) readings as recommended by OEM specifications. To ensure long-term reliability, connecting rods are resized using computerized micrometers, maintaining exact factory tolerances. Finally, crankshafts are precision machined and micro-polished to a 12 RMA finish or better, enhancing oil retention and reducing friction for superior engine performance.
Custom 364 Short block assembly
Precision Cylinder Head Machining for Remanufactured Short Blocks Each remanufactured short block we build features meticulously milled cylinder heads, ensuring perfect alignment and a flawless seal with the head gasket for maximum compression and performance. Our cylinder heads are fully assembled with brand-new valve stems and high-temperature seals, utilizing the latest heat-resistant technology to extend durability and engine lifespan. These polished heads undergo rigorous pressure testing with magnetic particle inspection, detecting any hidden cracks or flaws that can't be seen with the naked eye. Before installation, every seal is vacuum tested to confirm proper seating and leak-free operation. We use triple-angle valve seat machining to optimize airflow, pressure retention, and combustion efficiency. Every valve, valve spring, and valve guide is subjected to a strict quality control process to ensure they meet or exceed OEM specifications. For O.H.C. (Overhead Cam) heads, we guarantee precise bore alignment and consistency. Each remanufactured short block is specifically engineered to correct common failure points and design weaknesses, resulting in an engine that outperforms standard factory builds in both reliability and longevity.
