OEM REPLACEMENT 4R70W Transmission and Torque Converter
Our 4R70W transmission is built with premium, performance-enhancing upgrades designed to dramatically improve durability, reliability, and shift quality. Every unit comes with a six-plate direct clutch and four-plate intermediate clutch pack, significantly increasing torque capacity and resistance to wear. We’ve updated critical components including the EPC solenoid and solenoid clips for improved response and long-term operation. Each transmission is equipped with a new boost valve kit, pressure regulator valve, bypass converter clutch slave, and plunger assembly to eliminate common issues such as delayed engagement, shuddering, and soft shifting. A known OEM design flaw involving the spiral lock snap ring and staked retainer has been fully addressed with upgraded components to prevent premature failure. In addition, 1-2 and 2-3 accumulator pistons have been redesigned to reduce harsh shifts and extend clutch life.
Every 4R70W includes a precision-installed overdrive servo pin sleeve, completed using our custom tooling and bushing process to ensure long-lasting performance. The front pump is fitted with new line bore bushings, enhancing fluid flow and eliminating leaks. Late-model 4R70W units also feature a 3/4-capacity valve sleeve and an extra-thick, zinc-coated separator plate, designed to withstand stress and prevent cracking or cross-leaks, especially common near the 1-2 accumulator piston spring retainer. For high-demand applications, such as police, and towing vehicles, this transmission includes a heavy-duty direct clutch pack, upgraded valve body modifications, and an elevated pressure regulator valve to maximize holding power and shift precision under load. Heavy-duty bushings are also installed to improve internal fluid control, pressure balance, and overall efficiency.

This part is sold at a price based on a rebuildable core being returned to us. The recycled metals and components can assist the manufacturing process keeping our prices to an all time low. This temporary deposit is withheld to ensure that we receive your damaged unit.
How is the core deposit charged?
How is the core deposit charged? At the time of purchase the core deposit will be added to the customers total. Once the core is received and processed at our facility, the deposit will then be issued back to the customer.
How long do I have to return my core?
To receive a full deposit your core must be received within 30 days after the delivery of your part. Late fees may be assessed to cores that are returned beyond 30 days from the customers original purchase date. Any extensions must be proved by a sales manager.
Refund Time?
Orders are typically refunded back onto the credit card within 1-3 weeks after the core arrives. Check orders will be mailed back. Call to verify arrival if you have not been refunded within your 3 week window.
How do I return the core?
In most situations your unit will be delivered with a shipping form called the “Bill of Lading”. You or your shop can send the core back with the delivery driver or at a later date by calling the shipping company to schedule a pickup. Be sure to use our shipping form or the shipping company may bill you personally. If your form has been lost or misplaced you will have to call our shipping department to generate a replacement.
Bad or missing core?
If there is no core to exchange, in most cases we can just add the deposit amount to the purchase price. In addition, you will only be required to pay a one way shipping fee. In the case that our stock becomes low on a certain core, we may charge an increased amount for the core when there is not one to exchange. In the rare case a core becomes critically low we reserve the right not to sell a product without a core exchange.
Can I send my core first?
On manual transmissions, engines and transfer cases you can send us your core before we send out your unit. By doing this overall shipping may take longer but you will not be required to pay a core deposit just shipping and the price of your part.

Coverage details:
- This warranty is completely transferable.
- This is a nation wide warranty that extends throughout the continental united states.
- We do not charge restocking or shipping fees on qualified warranties. Restocking and shipping fees are only applied if a customer wants to return a non defective transmission or is outside the continental United States.
- There are no mileage restrictions to your coverage.
- Buyers warranty begins at original date of purchase and expires 3 years thereafter.
- This warranty now covers all commercial vehicles.
We Cover Parts and Labor:
- Labor will be paid in accordance with our standardized book time and rates.
- Work may only be completed by a certified shop.
This warranty does not cover any of the following:
- Use of engine, clutches, transfer case, drive line, and/or differential for purposes for which it was not originally designed (such as off-road, race car, etc).
- Abuse, neglect, accident, or improper towing.
- Improper installation and maintenance, including failure to fill the unit with proper fluid and maintain adequate levels.
- Charges that may have incurred from towing or vehicle rental.
- (Conversions) installation into a vehicle application that did not originally come with the transmission.
- Loss of time, inconvenience, vehicle usage loss, commercial loss or consequential damages.
- Failure because of defects or inefficiencies or parts or assemblies not furnished with the transmission (flywheel, clutch, drive shaft, etc).
- We are not liable for misuse or negligence causing damage, defect, injury, or loss.
- Non-certified installations will be covered under this warranty but the installation must be done by a ASE Certified mechanic or shop to receive labor reimbursement.
